Jonathan is married to Melissa and they have two children. He left a career as a Math teacher to go into ministry. Previously he served on staff at Crosspoint Church in McKinney and Hillcrest Church in Austin. Jonathan is currently a pastoral resident at City Church in Melissa. As part of his residency he is also in this year’s Denton Baptist Association church planter cohort with Pastor Micah. The Yates plan to plant a new church in Van Alstyne in 2025.
